I am happy to say that our first week of muzzle loader ended with a bang! Our first group of 9 guys were fantastic and a lot of fun. We all had a great time! The results were great and the guys wanted to book their 2012 trip before they left the lodge. Thanks guys for the business and a great time!
We had an open schedule during the second week of muzzle loader so we took the opportunity to make some more preparations for our up coming guests.
The first week of rifle season was great. Our guests were fantastic and we all had a lot of fun. The deer were moving OK for the week and the weather was just OK. Everyone saw deer and I was informed that all had an excellent time.
The second week of rifle ended better than it started as far as the deer movement went. Monday was good but the next 3 days were a bit slow. However, Friday surely brought out the deer. With 12 hunters, the week ended with 17 deer down and several misses. Not bad for a slow week!
We are already in our third week of rifle and with Monday morning gone and some great weather, we already have a nice 8 and 6 pointer down. I hope the evening brings more good bucks! The week did bring more good bucks, some really, really, great bucks. Pictures will follow soon.
We are now nearing the end of the 4th week of rifle season as it is the early morning on the 10th of November. I can only say that the season, so far, has been nothing short of amazing! With some breaks in the weather and the rut in full swing, we have hammered some incredible bucks which include two fantastic 10 pointers! Our guests in the last two weeks have been mainly repeat customers and we have all been having one hell of a good time! Pictures will be posted soon!
The 5th week of rifle season has concluded. Check our references and comments for some of our clients points of view about their 2011 trip with us. With only four hunters we bagged a 6 point and an 8 point buck by Tuesday morning. That was great because the weather and moon phase was not on our side. Two of our guests tagged out early on a 3 day hunt so they left a half a day early, got home, and left us some nice words on this site. Our remaining two guests had a nice time bagged some game, including a bobcat, but unfortunately did not get the trophy buck this time.
With a few days off I'll be preparing for a small group over the Thanksgiving holiday. I know where a few big bucks are still hidding!
As you know, calender dates for next season are offered first to the people or groups who hunted during that week of the previous year. So, as these time slots have been offered and some have been booked, I will remind this seasons clients to get your date selections in NOW for 2012! I have plenty of people inquiring about 2012 dates and I can not hold time slots forever without definite confirmation! Please don't wait till the last minute. Make your 2012 reservations NOW and avoid missing your desired dates for next year.
We have a few dates for 2011 still available for the last week of November and December for those of you who would like to try and make it for this season. Of coarse we will honor our 2011 price schedule. We will NOT be offering any hunting over Christmas. December 23rd to the 26th is NOT available. Please feel free to call for additional information.
