I hunted the first week of rifle season (10/19 - 10/23) in 2009 with my brother whom I have not hunted with in almost 38 years. We had a great time even though we did not leave with any of the big boys that are in the 2009 Trail Cam Pictures. Weather was a bit warm for hunting for my taste but otherwise was very pleasant (no rain). The accommodations and food were great as were Mike, Wadis and our guide Greg. The stands I spent time in were all in relatively good shape, and were located well in the woods. Saw 4 non-shooter bucks and quite a few doe (and I saw deer every day). Mike pulled the trail cams each evening and they revealed some real nice NC whitetail bucks out in the woods on those farms! We kept trying to convince Mile to let some of the big bucks out of the "pens"! Ha! I took one doe but could have/should have had two. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and I may just find myself back there next year. Keep up the good work fellows - you know how to do it right! Thanks again for a great week!

My son and I hunted the first week of rifle season 2009. The weather was not on our side being very hot during the day, but my son managed to take a real nice 8 pointer and a good size mature doe. As for me well skip that part. We had a great time, very nice accomadations, good food prepaired by Aneda and Sharon the two best cooks in North Carolina. Greg Schrider was our guide and we could not ask for a better one, he made you feel like a long time friend right from the first day. My son and I do plan on returning next year for a five day hunt that will give me a year to practice. I would recommend Fair Game to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy a few days of hunting.
